Hi all. I am a new member looking for information about the Sonics 800x amps that were made by Bryston. I bought these instead of Bryston 7Bs to save a few bucks, but I want to run them in Parallel Mono Mode. They are wired for Bridged Mono Mode. The Bryston 7Bs have a switch to flip between modes, but the Sonics do not. I was wondering if there is a simple way to re-wire them for my Thiel 3.6s, which have a low minimum impedance. I suspect there is a way to un-invert one of the channels, but I don’t know how to do it. I saw a post on this forum about these amps from 2013, so I’m hoping someone with prior experience can help me out. Thanks.

That would be a Mike question for sure and Mike is away for a week but email him and see if he can help.  mpickett@bryston.com

By the way olejkodf I used the Theil 3.7's with 7B's many times at shows and they worked just fine in the series (bridged) mode.  Gary Dayton is now with us at Bryston and was with Thiel for many years so he may comment as well.
