New guy needing help

New guy needing help

Hello everybody,
I've been doing a lot of reading on here, but recently signed up. I have a Carver Pro zr1600 and zr1000 that looks like it was modified by 8th nerve and the problem is on my amp only the rca inputs are connected and the xlr inputs are disabled because the ribbon cable is missing for the xlr inputs. Can anybody help me find what ribbon cable I need for the xlr input or how I can get into contact with 8th nerve. I tried doing a search on here and since I'm new it won't let me search, and it won't let me view 8th nerves profile to send them a pm. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

You are well served with the RCA inputs.
I doubt you will get a sonic benefit w/the balanced inputs.
I had a Silver 9T, why do you want use the balanced input?

I think many standard ribbons will do, some computer shops have it or try Ebay/Amazon. Iam not a old member in this Forum but I dont know 8th Nerve they were a member in 2008, his Circle was archived around DEC2008 so seems they are out of bussines.

It takes a minimum number of posts to gain full access to the site, so keep posting.

If modded for RCA use the XLR output may now be a weak link, even if a simple ribbon cable could reconnect it.

Yeah, I doubt 8th Nerve still exist.  Try contacting Carver.
