My first restore project

I’m doing my first restore project, learning as I go, on my 40 year old JVC QL-7 turntable.

After I finish replacing the leaking electrolytic caps what else should I replace while I’m in there?

Thanks for any help.

I have done the same. I didn't notice anything that explicitly needed replacement. However mine seems to get out of sync, and I have to rub my finger on the platter a little to get it back. The chips may have a life span...

I found the most important thing I did was plug it into a power conditioner, and pack the underside of it with clay.
