I just noticed iFi on the MQA partner page and when I click it says the iFi iDSD Black Label with MQA coming soon. Any idea when it will be available?
Will older models be upgradeable?

I had some iFI gear for a while. Junk. Most of it stopped working in one way or the other and the build
is Chinese made junk. Pass.

Yes. And just reporting my experience. I had two Micro iDSD units, one that lost one channel on the headphone out.
Both had horrible volume tracking, especially at low levels, as well as a Nano. They all emitted low level diginoize that was
easy to hear one half meaer from the speaker.

From the announcement, it sounds like iFi views MQA as a new feature to add to their products.
I didn't read any mention that they found MQA to be "better".

I think they are letting the customer decide whats best by providing MQA, DSD, PCM and redbook formats in their new dac. Why limit your choices?

Started a thread here about the nano iDSD Black Label.  It can handle MQA rather nicely.  TIDAL has a nice collection to try
