Looking for a cheap way to start into HT I stumbled on all the panny hype in different forums. This led me to the jvc rxf10s which I bought. It only has 50 hours on it yet so there is something to wait for I guess.
I took a peek inside as well. Mine is a european version with scart connections. But otherwise the innards are quite simmilar.
The power suppy caps are : 6800uF // 42V
Quite small for 6x100Watt. But I don´t thing the transformer will put out much ore then 100 -200 Watt max. I dislike the red/white wire from left (transformer) to the right (diode´s) in the top image of this thread. This is a nice

antenna to distribute the switching pulses of the diodes.
Maybe it is a sound idea to build a complete extrenal power supply.
I looked at the digital amplifier chips. I am still not shure its Tripath or not. There are three partly visible from the front. They have the typenumber JVC6014 on them. Is this a clue?
The wire to the speakers is very minimal stuff, but it looks like the feedback is taken very close to the outputs, but I am not sure.
I was looking to get a service manual, and I found a supplier here in the Netherlands , but it is about 30Euro (40$) which quite a lot for a 155Euro piece. Maybe I will ask JVC directly. If the normal maunaul is available ,maybe the other is as well.
