Total newb dying to try the Charlize amp kit, but don't know what power supply to get, what enclosure, and volume control etc.  The choices are too overwhelming!  My budget would be less than $180 including the amp kit.  Can you guys help out with some links? :P

Hi Sica,

I just happen to have a Charlize with air core inductors that I bought from Yeo back in August, and an Alps blue velvet volume pot that I bought at the same time...PLUS a (used) all-metal enclosure made by Rat Shack that I bought on ebay for the Charlize project! My problem is I can't find the time to put it together, and have since been listening with much pleasure to a 2A3 tube amp....so I will happily part with all of the above if you're interested!
I had Yeo pre-wire my Charlize with 6-8 inches of cryoed, silver-plated OFC hookup wire for the speaker binding posts, RCA inputs and power supply, so you wouldn't have to do any soldering on the board itself.
This is all brand new stuff (with the exception of the Rat Shack enclosure)...never been used.
Let me know if you're interested! Thx.

Help! Where do I buy ps and case for the Charlize kit?

Sica,

One more thing...I also have a new Vector 12v, 6 amp DC power supply that I bought for the Charlize. All it needs is to have the appliance-end replaced with whatever size DC power plug you chose for the Charlize.
Of course, much has been written about how the low-powered Tripath amps thrive on SLA battery power. 12v SLA batteries, plus chargers, can be found pretty cheap on ebay, but another great option is Radio Shack's little jump starter, which has something like a 12 amp/hour SLA PLUS recharger built in. With that thing, too, all you'd have to do is replace the batter clamps with whatever hook-up interface you wanted to use to the Charlize's power inputs.

Hope this helps!
