For sale is the ridiculously overbuilt Audio GD SA-300SE, a 2-channel powerhouse amplifier in very good condition (face is clean, no dents, no significant scratches, etc.). This massive, 83 lb. amp is a workhorse at 300 wpc (600 wpc in 4 ohms). The amp consists of all audiophile components (Dale resistors, custom caps, etc.), two 650-watt transformers and 24 output transistors. The capacitance reaches as high as 130,000uF. To achieve a quality tone, 2-ounce copper foil high-strength, double-sided holed board and all high grade electronic parts are used. All aluminum chassis. The balanced XLR input sockets are Neutrik products and the amp contains high end, gold-plated RCA and power sockets.
An exceptionally designed power supply naturally guarantees a better sound quality. Each channel uses 6 groups of stabilized voltage supplies for better linearity. The direct current servo circuit and balance bridge output ensure dynamics and impact, yet the amplifier remains sweet at low listening levels. The SA-300SE can dump an incredible amount of current into your speakers, yet is nimble at low levels.
The Audio GD SA-300SE contains a diamond differential circuit that provides, among other things, capacitor-less input coupling. Moreover, the design allows for high current to be generated regardless of voltage fluctuation. The diamond differential circuitry has always been highly praised for its excellent performance and musicality of the entire frequency range. The diamond differential circuit also boasts an extremely clear sense of space and a correct delivery of speed. The use of a cascoding circuit brings the benefits of good linearity. Likewise, a complete separation of left and right channels naturally leads to better resolution.
Direct current servo circuit and real balance bridge output ensures a better low frequency response. SA-300SE improves on the traditional direct current servo circuit, thus it not only achieves the best performance on low frequency response and power control, but also has no negative influence on the tonal quality. Generally, the sound can be characterized as neutral, smooth, and slightly warm.
