Offering a very nice SET power amplifier, beautifully built by Oliver Sayes. In his own words: "This is a very highly regarded design and for good reason, sounds incredibly natural and musical. I opted to use 6j5 for the input tube since good versions of these are far superior to 6sn7. The 6p5 could be used in this position for even lower gain. All good quality passive components (Riken resistors, Elna capacitor, paper in oil coupling capacitors) and some choice vintage parts (Sprague paper filter capacitor, Ohmite wire-wound cathode resistor) wired in Kimber copper and with vintage Tamura output transformers. Comes with a full set of tubes, Sylvania 45s, same construction 6j5 (labeled Sylvania and Motorola) and RCA 80 rectifier. This is a very low gain design so I would suggest 100db efficient 8 ohm speakers if you are considering this."
Choke-loaded, fully tube-rectified, with fuse protection, and soft start circuits to prolong tube life. This amp is like new, I bought it in March from the builder himself, and it has maybe 40-50 hours on it (the tubes may have more). It also has a headphone output on the back, but no volume pot. The Tamura o.t.'s are pulled from a vintage Japanese reel-to-reel deck.
Due to unemployment I'm forced to sell some things...all my gear is in perfect working order, so my loss is your gain.
