I've heard his voice elsewhere, not just Union Station stuff, not sure where, anyone know?

You must be talking about Dan Tyminski.  He used to be in the Lonesome River Band back in the day.  He was also on that one bluegrass movie singing for George Clooney.

That's it     that damn movie, thanks

I did a search on Dan earlier, he's also gets 'vocals, baritone' credit on the "Prince of Egypt" soundtrack and appears on 117 albums besides Union Station.  Busy lad!

All those bluegrass cats are like that.  Douglas I think is the most recorded person period, and Tony Rice has over 200 album credits.

There are very few people with the talent that these guys have.  It's one thing to be at the top of your game as a metal guitarist, but as a flatpicker, or dobro player, you really are in high demand.

Well I knew I had heard his vocals on other things, just didn't realize that I had heard them on so MANY different things.

I even caught my 21 yr old daughter and her decidely non-country/bluegrass friend tapping their feet to the music last night when I played it.   8)
