No VMPS at CES 2005?!?
« on: 3 Dec 2004, 04:23 pm »
Hi All,

I was just over at the 2005 International CES Exhibitor Directory, and tried looking up both VMPS & Veritone Minimum Phase Speakers, with no luck!  What gives?   :o   No VMPS at the 2005 CES?!?   :(   Or is Brian exhibiting outside of Alexis Park this time?  CES "Best Of" registration ends 12/13/04, I hope Brian is planning on attending!

So, what's the scoop Brian?  Don't be holding out on the next, best thing in the speaker world.  What are you bringing to The Show?

Unfortunately, I won't be attending the 2005 CES, but I did get to go to CES 2004.  What a blast.  I got to meet Big B, John Casler, plus, the Man in the Funny Suit!     Great Guys All!  And I got to hear John's awesome demo disc.  It was great that the Tall Guy liked "Yello"!  Shirley Bassey never sounded better, than on that RM30/215 sub combo!  Wish I could afford that set-up!  Very sweet!

Take Care,

Stewart

After the Best of CES judges informed us last year that we could not expect to win another award in the forseeable future, we  decided to move next door to the Alexis Park and save a few thousand.  Parking is much better there as well.

We're in rm 1607.

Make that "next door to the St TROPEZ".  We are exhibiting at THE EXPO along with about 90 other exhibitors.  Trade and public are welcome.

Thanks Brian!

But what garbage!  What should it matter if you've won in previous years?  A good product is a good product.  Just reinforces why I hate politics.    I guess I'm not a Shades-of-Gray kind of guy.  I believe in Black and White.

Later,

When our booth won the BEST of CES award for the High End Audio 2002  there were mucho congrats and attaboys from all quarters.

When we won again in 2003 the response was quite a bit more subdued, with cries of "Fraud!" and "The fix is in!" from many.  Plus some of those big exhibitors were not pleased that their best efforts lost to an upstart they had never heard of--again.

Maybe Mike Maloney needs a "Best of EXPO" trophy to attract the name manufacturers.

Are you announcing a new model this year?

About a week or two ago Brian said no new speakers & he had not decided what speakers to bring.

My guess is RMX, with their wittel-baby-sister 626R-African Ebony on the other side of the room.
