The P1000 power base for my MSB dac stopped working last week. I'm about ready to take it in for repair. However I just did some resistance checks on the pins of the umbilical cord that connects the P1000 to the Dac. The connectors are 5 pins arranged in a 3/4 circle around a sixth pin. All of pins checked out except the middle ones that had a "one" resistance. My question is, does the middle pin have an electrical function or is it just there to center the plugs?
I wouldn't ask such a mundane question here, but I'm just about to leave on a trip and the repair shop I found is in the other state I'm going to. It would save me alot of bother (and probably money) if I found out the problem is in the cord
