EAC and XP Proffessional problems
« on: 8 Dec 2004, 09:33 pm »
I just got a new computer with Windows XP.

I just downloaded EAC and am getting an Access_violation error message after I unzip it and try to run it.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

I suspect it is an XP thing

Thanks

sounds to me like you have a security problem, the default security doesn't want you to open a zip.   Just hazarding a guess.

I used to use EAC w/ no problems.  I have XP Pro.

First, re-download and install EAC. . .maybe it's a bit corrupt.

Have you fully updated your XP?  Try that, too.

Can you provide a screenshot or more detail?  Does the error appear on first launch, before you can even utilize EAC?

I'm at home now, and that computer is at the office so no screen shots until tomorrow.  It does it when I try to launch the first time.

I have redownloaded it and the same thing happened.
