PAIR OF DECWARE SE84C EL84/6BQ5 TUBE AMPS PLUS EXTRA SET OF TUBES - $SOLD
I am continuing to clean out some equipment, so I have this pair of highly regarded tube amps for sale.
Local sale is strongly preferred, but shipping is possible.
Price is FIRM, as I do not need to sell the amps. I will, however, consider some discount for a local sale (Chadds Ford, PA), or if one or both sets of tubes are not needed.
Some trade may be possible.
These amps can individually be run as stereo amps, but I have used them as a mono-bridged pair for stereo. I feel that is the best way to run them, so I will not split up the pair. The two units seems to be completely identical to one another.
According to the manual, when these are run in stereo they output 2.3 watts into 4 ohms, and when run bridged they output 5 watts into 8 ohms.
Physically and functionally these units are in excellent shape. These would easily rate a “7” on the Audiogon scale.
Each amp uses a pair of 6BQ5/EL84/7189/6P15P type power tubes, one 6DJ8/6922/6N1P type input tube, and one 5Y3 type rectifier (but can also use 5U4, 5AR4/GZ34 and 274B). At my asking price, the amp will come with two decent full set of tubes (of my choice).
The connectors for running in bridged mode will also be provided, and I do have some electronic info that I will email (or burn to a disc).
Other than the above, no other accessories are provided.
I have a large variety of other input tubes (6DJ8, 7DJ8, 7308 and others), power tubes (EL84/6BQ5, 7189 and others), and rectifiers (5Y3, 5AR4, 5U4GB and others), which I can make available for an upcharge.
I also have lots of other tubes so feel free to ask about those as well.

They are available for local demo, which I would recommend (so you can confirm functionality prior to purchase).
Payment can be via money order/cashier's check/personal check but, except for US Postal Money Orders, all must clear my bank first. Cash is OK for a local transaction.
I also accept Paypal for convenience (but add 3% to the total for US, and 4% elsewhere). IF YOU PAY VIA PAYPAL, HOWEVER, A CONDITION OF YOUR PAYMENT IS THAT YOU EXPRESSLY WAIVE THE RIGHT TO FILE A PAYPAL CLAIM OR CHARGE BACK (but do retain the right to sue me in court should you so desire).
Shipping will be at the buyer’s expense. I prefer either FedEX Ground or USPS Priority Mail, but that is up to the buyer. Insurance for full value is recommended, as I am not responsible for any damage in shipping or non-delivery (but will assist in processing any legitimate claim). Each amp will be packed in an individual box, the tubes and accessories will be packed in a third box, then all three boxes will go into a larger single box for shipping. Shipping weight will likely be on the order of 30 lbs.
I might consider some trade at the right value. I do not really need anything, but a decent group of vacuum tubes, or one or two solid state internal drives (500GB or larger) might be of interest. In any event, it does not hurt to ask.
