Hi,
Curious if anyone has purchased one of the new ZYX "Ultimate"cartridges (e.g. R100 or Airy) with a carbon fiber cantilever. If yes, would you please share your listening experience?
Thank you and happy listening,
Harvey

I cannot comment on the Ultimate cartridges but I recently purchased a ZYX Universe 2 SB (0.24mv copper) and it is balanced from top to bottom and sounds incredible (as it should for the price point).  I have owned a ZYX Airy 3 SB and an original ZYX Universe SB (both 0.24mv and copper) and each sounded great, with the Universe sounding noticeably better than the Airy 3.  The Universe 2 sounds spectacular and has no shortcomings I can detect.  It has tight a tuneful bass and still unravels complex passages of music with sparkle on top.  The original Universe worked well for jazz and orchestra; however, the Universe 2 is more well rounded (in my opinion) and will work on a wider genre of music.
