   SOLD   All purchased new in May 2016 2015 with premium burled walnut finish.  The subs are equipped with the optional XLR connections for master/slave configuration.  Jim's Exotica line must simply be heard and both my wife and I are smitten by the performance.  However, while she loves the sound and feels the speakers are beautiful, she does not like the "4 boxes look" in our family room.  Should this group be purchased, we will promptly order a pair of Jim's Exotica 3 floor standers.  This is a great opportunity to move into the full Exotica experience at a great price with no wait.  The new list price for this set is $9,450 and my firm price is $7900.

Thanks, and I agree; even my wife agrees that the speakers are beautiful but feels the 'look" just isn't right for the family room . . . wait, maybe I can keep the speakers and she will agree to our building a dedicated listening room.

Put the monitors on classy walnut  stands and bass boxes where the bass sounds the best. It will look better and sound better too. I can't imagine Salk building something like this with the concept of putting the monitors on bass bins. Other than that fit &finish is first rate , truly luxury product in both the materials /drivers used and execution .

Perhaps it would look better and sound better but if my math is correct . . . there would still be 4 boxes.  While I'm sure it is not what Jim would recommend as optimal, I did consult with him about the setup prior to purchasing and I have no issues with the sound or the aesthetics.
