The Mini Reference is the most affordable of the Audio Magic power conditioners, yet it runs with the big dogs in terms of sound quality. I remember making a side by side comparison with a Running Springs conditioner, and a few others for a friend who was in the market for a new one, and every time the Mini Reference came out on top, in spite of being less expensive.
Has two outlets for high current amplifiers, and 4 outlets for source components. This conditioner is the full meal deal, utilizing a cap and filter module for traditional power filtering architecture. But then it brings into play the Pulse gen modules that are effective in dealing with RF and EMI power contamination issues. Wiring is proprietary 10 and 12 gauge silver wire that has been Cryro treated. There is a 20 amp resettable breaker on the back to provide surge protection.
The Mini Reference is a fine power conditioner that will allow components to reach their full potential. Yet it won't break the bank in terms of cost. No they are not cheap. But it is a true piece of high performance gear that most of us can still afford. Not many high end pieces are like that anymore.
