This is a great USB cable when used normally. But when you disconnect the power leg (if you have a self-powered DAC - if your DAC needs power from the USB lead you obviously can't do this) the sound seems to "relax". And if you are using battery power for your server then the sound goes to another level. Going off the grid for your digital sources really helps the sound in my opinion.
