An interesting if a little slow movie.
I really liked it a lot though.
The scenery of west Texas is some of my favorite anywhere.
Ben Foster plays his character very fully to me. He embraces the unique combination of what makes that guy up, and lives it to the hilt.
Chris Pine shines in a decidedly not Kirk role. He manages to "hide" his good looks for the most part, and comes across like who he needs to be.
Not since The Big Lebowski have I seen Jeff Bridges really take a character the direction it fully needed to go. He drops in some Gran Torino esque one liners, and really feels creaky as a guy 3 weeks from retirement.
It was not a fast paced thriller, but it kept my attention, and was very well shot.
