Does anyone know the names of any companies that make UHD Blu Ray players, that are made in America? I've searched on Google but the only name I've found so far is Ayre Acoustics.

I know that the parts would likely be imported, but it would at least be a start. Thanks!

Ayre has discontinued their Blu-ray player.  McIntosh currently has the MVP901, but it doesn't play Blu-ray 4K discs, it only upsamples to 4K.  It's expected they will follow with a true 4K model.

I think the only USA built players you'll find will be from high-end manufacturers, so be prepared to pay large.  The current McIntosh MVP901 is $5,500 MSRP.

That's a shame that Ayre has discontinued their BR player.


I don't have the budget for the Mc. It looks like I might have to go with Oppo. They have a new player coming out in "early 2017," so maybe I'll wait on a price point for that one.

Is it?  The Ayre DX-5 player was $10,000!  There's a used one currently on Audiogon for $5,500.

Ha Ha!! Well...I guess it isn't. I never saw a price on their equipment. Maybe that should have been the 1st sign that I couldn't afford their stuff.

Oppo makes some very good Blu-ray players although I believe they are manufactured in China.
Very happy with the equipment I have purchased from them. Customer service is also excellent.
