Good luck finding used a pair at any price.  I have had the M4Ts for a year and they are finest speakers I have ever had in my system over 45 years, even compared to speakers at 4X the price.  Life is too short not to have a pair of these outstanding speaker in your system.  You are only ~$1000 away from experiencing Nirvana with a pair of of Clayton's new speakers. That is my take, for what's its worth.

I agree, you are probably going to have to wait for the guys that pre-ordered the X-1's to get theirs and make a decision.  Also don't think you will be able to pre-set pricing guidelines for a speaker with no inventory.

I think the same pair was sold twice in recent months at Audiogon. My buy prices are in the same ballpark. I held off making an offer because I'd prefer white or red.
