In terms of the location of the port on Omega speakers is there anything to consider regarding room positioning or in-room resonance control devices?
I currently have some Omega Alnico floorstanding speakers with bottom firing ports. Behind each speaker I have a GIK bass panel. The speakers are out about 3' from the wall and about the same from each side wall.
I am considering buying a pair of the new "high output" Alnico floorstanders that have a rear firing port. My question is do you think that the port position will make much difference? Would I need to remove the panels so that the rear firing port could reflect off the walls or would the panels be even more important in this situation?
Thanks!
