I'm going to start some renovations to my listening room. Looking to reduce the number of speakers along the front wall so I am doing some research on a speaker selector switch.
I would like to use my main speakers for two sources. Source 1 for 2 ch. music and source 2 home theater.
Did a search here but most of that info is dated.
Most of what I have found are lower priced units with no mention of signal loss or purity of signal passing.
Is there a DIY solution?
I'm still looking but any insight from the folks here would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Bob2
Hi Bob2,
I did a speaker switch box a few years back,
I will try to find picture of it and post it here.
I've used two rocker switches from the electronic flashes
for who I am distributor (Made in Taiwan) and that are rated at 400V.
also used Danny Ritchie solid core OFC 14ga.
and 5 ways binding post.
The box was made of MDF by the cabinet maker that did my speaker enclosures.
Well, a picture is worth a thousand words,
therefore, tomorrow I will ding in the tons of pictures and hopefully
I will find them.
See you tomorrow.
