I'm sure you'll think I'm tempting fate, but, I'm tired of switching cables from the CD to the Fono and back again. Any issues to watch if I simply connect the fono board output and the CD output to a 2 pole 2 position rotary switch in the Bugle case? Crosstalk? Grounding? TIA.

Sure, you can try it.  After all, that's exactly what we do inside of a linestage.  Switching of line levels is best.
