Is it worth the trouble and expense?

So I'm just getting back into Hi-Fi, but on the cheap, I recently scored a set of damn fine set of KLH model 20's for $35, the guy also threw in a pair of working, not bad looking from across the room, Advent 5002's.

Upon removing the drivers from the advents, I realized why he threw them in. mis-matched non original drivers. one with water stains, and the laminate is bubbling around the bottom.

Do you guys think it would be worthwhile to:
A. get some new proper replacement drivers, and re laminate the cabs,
B. salvage the crossovers and tweeters for another project,
C. send them to the curb?

They are really bigger speakers than I want. I want to build some killer bookshelf sized speakers, and am almost thinking I'd be better off putting the cash towards some small drivers such as some fostex, or others in the $50 dollar apiece range. That is unless I can get some drivers that will play well with the 5002's that will sonically kick the crap out of any DIY bookshelf speakers, for a near similar price.

I guess I should note that I am planning on running these with a TPA3116 D2 or a TDA7297, (maybe even Folsoms 7297 if he has boards left) and the Sainsmart two tube preamp.
