For your consideration, a 2014 SOTA Comet IV with the Pete Riggle VTAF installed. (The receipt says Comet IV; the included instructions from SOTA are for the Comet III.)

This VTAF has the adjuster wheel for 3-point mount Rega tonearms. A replacement adjuster wheel for post-mount Rega 'arms (and many other standard post-mount tonearms) is listed for $42 on the VTAF.com price list page.

Cleaned and re-lubed the bearing with the SOTA recommended Tufoil lubricant. The belt is in good shape. The 'table spins smoothly and quietly.

The next to last pic shows scratches on the plinth near the VTAF installation.

The dust cover doesn't close with a 3-point mount 'arm, which appears to be due to the additional height above the VTAF adjuster screw for the tapped mounting plate just to accommodate those 3 point arms. If you are installing a post mount arm and purchase the appropriate adjuster wheel from Pete, you shouldn't have that problem.

Its a mass-loaded design, and so moderately heavy (a little lighter than a Technics SL1200). Totally dependable, very good sounding and with the VTAF, it will surprise you.

Asking $585 OBO, plus shipping. No PayPal fees.
