How many watts can a 12A power supply support?

This one always trips me up.  I'm rethinking my power delivery and looking at doing my digital side through a 12Amp isolation transformer.  I've got about 700 watts of power consumption from my digital side (pre/pro, TV, DVD, Sat box, wall warts).  Is 12 amps enough?

12amps * 120VAC =1440 watts.  Looks like you have enough juice.
