Sold: Promitheus Audio Balanced Power Supplies & Power EnergizerI am the original owner. Nicholas Chua, proprietor and designer of Promitheus
Audio equipment, hand built these on a per-order basis. I took delivery of them
in 2008. They have been used in a smoke, pet and child free house. These are
perhaps the last pieces from my 'tube system' that are being sold as I transistion
to a high-end AV pre/pro and all class D amplification for both music and home
theater and then calling it good.
Balanced Power Supplies (BPS):
These are both the 'Opus Intermediate' and have a 1000VA capacity each.

outlets on the front side. (I had it arranged so that power from the wall fed the
Energizer, which in turn fed both of the BPS. This setup powered my two tube
amplifiers, tube buffer/gain stage and DAC without difficulty)

* Ok, I'm not going to sugar coat the fact that these are industrial ugly! The scuffs,
chipped paint, etc... are all exactly how they were delivered. I kid you not. I could not,
nor would not, mar a piece of audio equipment like this If I tried. These have sat in
the audio rack along with the rest of the tube equipment since taking delivery. I did
not want to paint them, but feel that a careful painting with a decent metal paint would
increase thier WAF quite a bit ("Honey, I just bought these and wonder what color you
would like me to paint them?"). Thankfully, all the electronic goodness is inside the
boxes
The price is
Sold $250 USD for the pair of BPSs (these will be sold as a pair only) and
Sold $125 USD for the Power Energizer (which can be purchased seperately). The price is
Sold $325 USD for all three units together. (My original cost was $650 for the pair of BPSs and
$400 for the Power Energizer) ...Plus the actual shipping charges, insurance and
'signature confirmation of delivery' fee. Payment may be made by USPS money
order or PayPal (plus PayPal fees, if 'gift' not used). Personal Checks are accepted,
but items will not ship until the check clears at the bank. I will ship via FedEx Ground
or USPS. Please use the information and links below to give an accurate estimate of
the total costs ...local pick-up, delivery for the cost of gas and meeting half way are
other delivery options open to discussion.
The original OEM packaging were one-off, cardboard boxes with styrofoam
packing peanuts. These were discarded. For safe shipping, each unit has
been wrapped in layers of celophane, then rolled into a 3 layer deep blanket
of weave-cut cardboard packaging material (this is a light-weight and unique
product that works perfectly for this task). Then each unit was placed into a
double cardboard box and sealed tightly with clear packiaging tape. These
parcels are taunt, well cushioned and damn near waterproof.
