If you're like me, you will have three thoughts while watching this:

1. Cliche cliche cliche cliche
2. Where's Riddick?
3. Can I even get to the end of it?

The answer to #3 being no  :duh:

All I know it was a waste of $4.99 as a download from my cable company.   I agree with everything you noted.

You missed thought #4- Rose Leslie is a very fine looking lady! 8)  Okay, I'm in the minority I guess but I loved it. :thumb:  Shame on you if you watched the trailer and still thought you were getting Kramer vs Kramer of The Unbearable Lightness of Being. :P  It never pretends to be more than a big, loud popcorn movie.  IMO it succeeds pretty well as lightweight entertainment.  But a big part of that is Vin Diesel.  He's a pretty charismatic screen presence.  Michael Caine is better than he needs to be for a film like this and Elihja Woods is pretty good as well.

I never saw a trailer... just saw Vin on the shelf at the store and thought "that must be good"...!  :duh: Glad you liked it, Rob :)

Hahaha!  Yeah, I'm a fan of his but I've been burned by seeing something just because it has an actor I like. I would have been disappointed I suppose if I'd have expected it be great!  Certain kinds/genres of movies I'm pretty charitable to...obviously!
