2. Where's Riddick?
3. Can I even get to the end of it?

You missed thought #4- Rose Leslie is a very fine looking lady!   Okay, I'm in the minority I guess but I loved it.   Shame on you if you watched the trailer and still thought you were getting Kramer vs Kramer of The Unbearable Lightness of Being.   It never pretends to be more than a big, loud popcorn movie.  IMO it succeeds pretty well as lightweight entertainment.  But a big part of that is Vin Diesel.  He's a pretty charismatic screen presence.  Michael Caine is better than he needs to be for a film like this and Elihja Woods is pretty good as well.

Hahaha!  Yeah, I'm a fan of his but I've been burned by seeing something just because it has an actor I like. I would have been disappointed I suppose if I'd have expected it be great!   Certain kinds/genres of movies I'm pretty charitable to...obviously!
