The internet thinks I have moved
« on: 24 Jan 2016, 07:09 pm »
Also known as is there wifi router expert in the house?

The short version of the story is I flashed my TP-Link WR841N wifi router with DD-WRT and now Google news thinks I moved to a town 10 miles away and retail stores such as CVS, Target, Sears, Walgreens,  Home Depot think I have moved to Princeton, NJ which is the HQ for RCN, my ISP.

What do I need to change in the router config to get back home and do I want to?

I think they get those numbers from your internet address, which is dictated by your service provider.  Google news thinks I'm in a town about 10 miles or so from where I am and not the town I'm actually in.
