Is my stereo amp and DAC amp as good as headphone amp?

I'm new to this headphone so i have a question to ask.

Right now my speaker system has Bryston BDP-1 Music player >>> Mytek DSD DAC >>> Leben CS600 tube amp >>> Speaker.

Both my Mytek DAC and my Leben CS600 amp has headphone output 1/4 cables.

So are those as good as dedicated headphone amp? Between them, which one is better to plug headphone in? the DAC or the Amp?

And if i do not want to purchase duplicated amp for headphone, what levels of headphone would match with these gears?

Thanks,
Hieu.

I'm sure it depends on who you ask and what headphone amp you're comparing against.  Headphone users get very particular as there is literally no place to hide (no room/setup/crossover factors to smuck up the sound).

Thanks for the introduction, but recommend posting in the headphone circle.

Cs600 would be my choice - I think the analog stage there is going to be better than the headphone stage in the mytek dac, which if it's like many dacs with headphone stages it's just an afterthought for marketing and uses cheap op amps.

I'm going to guess that you are going to have to spend a fair amount - USD $700 - $1,000 - on a dedicated headphone amp to improve substantially on the one in the Leben.

I think you can use pretty much any level of headphone you want with the Leben. If you are REALLY into headphones and looking to spend much over $1,000, then it probably makes more sense to get a dedicated headphone amp to get the most out of your headphone investment. And that's assuming that you are going to be doing a lot of headphone listening.
