Up for sale are the highly regarded Ascend Sierra 2 Speakers with their famous Ribbon Tweeters. Moreover, these are the new versions with US Built Cabinets with almost all of the 5 year transferable warranty remaining.
The US Built cabinets command a $100 premium over the regular ones. In other words the direct price in USA for these are $1548 plus $37 standard for shipping.
The color is Satin Cherry.
They were purchased by me on July 28, 2015 and I received them in early August.
Now for the bad bit. Soon after I received them, one of the speakers fell off the stand and developed some damage. I had it shipped back to Ascend to check the internals and they had to replace the port tubes inside and was tested by Dave (owner of Ascend Acoustics) to make sure everthing was working perfectly again. I paid another $189 for that. (To the highest bidder I can provide copies of the paperwork after the auction is paid for).
I have touched up the outer parts as best as possible. There are three areas of damage - a) Front Lower left, b) Front Upper right c) You can see some nicks along the right side panel
I should not overstate the damage and to be honest, if you were sitting on a couch a few feet you are unlikely to notice them.
The second speaker is perfectly alright.

I would have held on to these but during the time it was gone for repairs, I got my hands on a Dynaudio Focus 160 for a great price and are much more voiced to my liking.
I am asking $1000 plus shipping and paypal costs.
I can consider trades for a pair of high quality desktop (friendly) speakers - Kef eggs, Salk Wow1, Dynaudio Excite x14a, Maggie minis, ls50 etc but no studio monitors please.
I will ship the speakers in their original double box with the included paper work and cloth bags.
