This is a classic in the Omega product line history and for good reason. I've really enjoyed my time with these. The hemp drivers add a little bit of depth and refinement to the presentation. I have used these for both stereo and A/V use and they have excelled at both. I will be honest: as Louis told me when I installed the hemp drivers, they are not a quantum leap in performance over the Visatons. However, I did find them somewhat smoother overall and slightly extended in frequency in both the high and low end -- an improvement but not night-&-day.
Skylan stands are ideal for these speakers. Not only do they put the speakers at the right height, but they also allow the front to tip up and adjust the front baffle angle. That height is adjustable and really helps to dial in the speakers into the listening room. Stands are also sand/lead fillable to provide a solid foundation for the speakers. If someone local (Chicago) is interested in these as-is, I will leave them filled. For shipping, I will empty the sand to reduce shipping weight.
For now, I am selling these as a set. I
may split these up, but only if no one shows interest in the set. Speakers and stands really are a great match and I'd hate to break up a great pair.
