Got my SST back, sent it in for repair to switch under warranty and possible upgrade to SST2. I waited for about 2 years to send it in cause I was cash strapped with medical needs, Visa and speaker payments. With speakers paid and no longer need for medicine that freed up some cash to send the amp in.
Took it in to Pulsworks Bryston dealer Rep to send it in for me as I'm usually too busy working to get it done. Dave at Pulsworks did that for me even though I know I should've have sent it in myself. All I can say great customer service from Dave & Bryston.
So with the SST upgraded I swapped out the 3B ST powering Paradigm Studio 100 v2 in surround duty in a 4.1 setup. Model T passives are my mains powered by 3B SST2.
I noticed right away more smoothness and a richness to the overall sound, slightly improved mid-range. A marginal difference from the ST but having matching amps is definitely preferred way to go in a multi-channel setup.
