Monster Cable Strong-Arms Small Businesses Again[/size]

For those who remember Monster Cable Products Inc. vs. Mike Shkolnik, dba Mad Martian in the summer of 2002, where the attorneys for Monster Cable attempted to wrest control of the domain name, monster.biz, i.e. Info, they are at it again. This time, against a small business selling vintage clothing, http://monstervintage.com

Please go to this link for more information on Monster Cable's lawsuit against Monster Vintage Clothing and if you so wish, show your support by spreading this information to audioboards / computer boards (Monster Cable makes a lot of audio peripherals for Apple iPod & Windows™ computers) you frequent, and maybe even an email / letter of complaint to:

In the case of Monster Cables vs. Mad Martian / monster.biz, Monster Cable received a lot of angry emails, as well as mail containing receipts of returned Monster Cable products. This must have had an effect on their decision to ultimately drop the case.

Here's a list of other cases Monster Cable is involved in (5 pages long).

Behavior like this makes me ashamed to own Monster Cable products.

Then get rid of your Monster Garbage and start boycotting them.

This is the sort of thing that makes corporate America look evil, greedy and wicked.  Just what we need.  A truly greedy pair of lawyers hunting down the weak and then using big corporate funds to eat the little guy/gal alive.

SHAME ON MONSTER CABLE.

I will boycott their products and alert everyone I know about this matter until they drop all their baseless lawsuits.

As a business owner, an audiophile and an American this infuriates me.  This just makes people hate "corporations" even more.  Just what we need; another ENRON scandal (thought not quite as grand but this will probably pick up steam as the next few weeks progress).

In addition to never buying another Monster Cable product, I am boycotting every retailer who sells Monster Cable products. I think that is the only way the audiophile community can apply sufficient pressure to get the monster's attention. They are so big that even a 1000 customer boycott has no noticeable effect on their bottom line. But, if every one of Monster's retail outlets received notice that they were being boycotted by 1000 customers because of Monster's actions...

I am working on a letter I will send to all Monster Cable retailers telling them why I will not do business with them as long as they sell Monster Cable products. You may want to do the same.

You want on your list?  I hear that Monster Cable is the official cable suppliers to both the Bears and the Viqueens!

They've long been on my list.  Bunch of goo they sell fueled by insane markups for high profits to sales staff.
