That works perfect! Does he still have my address? Probably does since I've got like three modded SBs that I still use

Tell him, he owes me a beer from his brewery next I'm I'm out there, which may not be that long from now.

He is sending me some of the beer that he created/invented. It should arrive tomorrow.
He told me that some was for you, but I told him you don't drink beer so I'd be forced to drink your portion.  8)

I'll find out if he has your address.

Hey all.

Wayne's daughter is now spinning vinyl.  :thumb:

I went by Scotts to grab the table and box of records, went by Mikes to get his receiver and the speakers and wire from Kent.  Made it her apartment about noon.
Unloaded the truck and immediately went out for lunch. First things first, ya know.
She couldn't stay long, she had a meeting at work. While she was gone I got the system up and running and started cleaning some records for her.

Here's the run-down of the haul she made, and who was involved:

Turntable (Miida), completely tuned up, and a box of records were given by ScottF
New Ortofon cart for TT donated by Wayne (Dad)
Pioneer speakers and Monster speaker cable given by Kent
Scott receiver sold from MikeM (I'm jealous of this receiver)
DAC bought and donated by Mark in Canada ("mcgsxr") from fellow ACer ("Chip") >HERE<
Record cleaning machine and accessories from me.

I showed her how to use the record cleaning machine, how to use the TT (complete with very explicit instructions from Scott).
Showed her how to hook up her laptop, and some general overall words of wisdom.....(which didn't take long since I don't have too much in the first place).

She certainly didn't need a rack (nowhere to put it), but definitely needs some speaker stands. She obviously can't use the fireplace until that happens.
Plus, if the volume knob goes very far at all, you can hear the sheetmetal in the fireplace resonate.  :duh:

Enough chat, here's what I..."we"...left her with.
I left "Dark Side of the Moon" spinning as I made my exit.  8)

Cool, glad we could contribute!

...everybody that spins vinyl HAS to have a copy of DSOTM in their collection. Wish the copy I sent was in better shape. It was my original copy bought when it first came out. It's seen a party or two. Oh crap, does that mean I'm old?  :o  Then again, the little green flakes in the sleeve will be a welcomed sight by a Colorado native.

No worries, I sent some White Stripes too. I guess that makes me kinda hip in some alternate universe.

Just one more thought, be sure and let her know, if she uses the fireplace, she'll need to make sure the records (or anything else plastic) is stored/installed safely away from the heat. I'd hate to see all the records warp.
