It works vertically and horizontally.   I don't have one of these guys, but I'd like one.  With wooden floors, effectiveness probably depends on your set-up.  It cancels vibrations, but if the entire stand/rack is moving it can probably only do so much.  With a wall shelf or good stand (depending) it should be awesome. 

If anyone has one of these please chime in.

You're using a non-suspended table I presume?  Minus K looks like the ultimate platform. 

Apparently Mark Dohmann one of the principals of Caliburn, is coming out with a new table incorporating Minus K:
