Windows 10 questions
« on: 20 Sep 2015, 10:11 pm »
Has anyone successfully managed to
1) schedule a security scan and
2) erase photos from their camera after downloading?

I got so aggravated I went back to Windows 7 for the second time.
Thanks in advance!

1) I currently have a weekly security scan in progress that was scheduled this morning by McAfee Security Suite.

2) If you are referring to the Windows Photo app, yes I am able to import photos from my camera, and if I have checked "delete photos after importing" then it does so.

You will need to provide some additional details on what apps you are referring to, but it sounds like you may have some sort of permissions problem (although one would expect some kind of error message that speaks to permissions).  I am logged in with an Administrator level account.

While i may be convenient to let windows delete photos off of your camera card, keep in mind it is best to FORMAT the card each time you are done transferring pics (while it is in your camera), using the camera's menu. If you don't do this you may eventually get burned :)
