Heading to Denver for the RMAF.
Y'all keep an eye out for a big cloud of smoke rising to the east.
That'll mean Mrs. DeadFish really doesn't understand the 300b...

Hope to stay connected @ the hotel and pipe some pictures back, if I can figure out where to put them.
(nobody at the frontdesk could REALLY tell me how their advertised broadband connects...) :?

See you in the future.
I must go where the Bozos go...

Regards,
DeadFish

Me too Mike.
Won't have a A/C shirt on though.
Probably some Dead variant.
I figure to eventually peg some A/C'ers by their shirts.
Maybe you can convince me why I should keep my Vandies, since 'parking ' them after exposure to the dark GAS cloud...hehehe

see ya here!

DeadFish

Yo Deadfish,

Make sure you spend some time in John Wolff's room and take a hard listen to the Classic Audio Reproduction, Hartsfields. JBL design, Tad driver based. Stupid expensive at $17+k per pair but if the room sounds half as good as it did back at MAF with the DeHavalland 845 mono's, you are in for a serious treat. These are what other horn loaded speakers  aspire to sound like.

Only notable exception are Dr Bruce Edgars Titans and Seismic Sub. Those were marvelous too.

Try to catch both of the rooms when they aren't too busy and see if they'll let you be Lord and Master. Crank 'em up. You'll experience dynamics like you'd never believe possible...... even comparing them to your A-19's.

You may want to wander by Terry Cains (Cain & Cain) room and give a listen to the Ben's too. Those should be fun.

Sure wish I was there......

I'll probably be spending some time in the Bolder Cable room (7909) and in Odyssey's rooms (7119 & 7121 I think) as they are friends and Klaus has asked me to help work one of his rooms for a couple of hours. Given that I may be woking his room, I might wear something more boring than my AC shirt. I'd like to meet you so if all else fails give me a call. My cell number is 303-359-6069.

As for convincing you to keep your Vandies, I don't know how to do that. There are things I wish mine did better but every time I consider replacing them I keep coming back to how easy they are to listen to for long periods. You're welcome to have a listen if you like. I live about 15 minutes from where the show is, so it's not a big deal to drive over.

Mike
