These are the flagship speakers of Spatial Audio's Hologram line.  They're open baffle, and a really sleek modern design.  I love the look.  And they have a wonderfully balanced sound with a massive deep soundstage.  They're full-range with robust bass down to the low 30 hz range.  I didn't feel any need for a subwoofer except below 30hz.  They need absolutely no supplemental bass within their frequency range.  They have high sensitivity at 95dB, and a benign 4ohm load that doesn't dip below 3 ohms.  The manufacturer has driven them at shows with 300B amps and people loved the sound.  I've been running them on a Line Magnetic 518 amp based on 845 SET's, at 22wpc.  I've never gotten close to the limits of that amp with these speakers.  So, they're tube friendly.  But they also sound great on high end solid state amplification, which is how they're usually shown at audio shows.

I fell in love with these at last year's RMAF and bought this pair in February after hearing the smaller M2's in my system that a buddy of mine bought.  They are the upgraded "turbo" version with high end binding posts and upgraded crossover parts.  I've been enjoying them ever since they arrived, but recently lucked into my dream speakers at a really low price, around 40% of their retail (still quite a bit more expensive than these Spatials).  Otherwise, I would happily live with the Spatials.  You're going to have to pay a LOT more than this to better these speakers in all around full-range speaker performance.  I don't have room for more than one set of speakers of this calibre, and I'm also drooling over the Lampizator Big 7 for sale in the DAC section.  Help me finance this DAC upgrade, and I'll be your friend for life!

The M1's retail for $4K plus shipping.  That's what I bought them for in February. SOLD

Ok, people - time to step it up.  I need to move these speakers.  Who's interested?  Make me an offer.
