FS: Yamaha CDX-1100ou TOTL CD player

SOLD

Up for sale is this massively overbuilt Yamaha CDX-1000ou CD Player. This was Yamaha's top of the line CD player in the late '80s, costing $1200.  It features
4x oversampling and coaxial digital output. Analog outputs have a variable volume control from the remote and unit face. The unit features extensive chassis damping and copper shielding. It weighs nearly 31 pounds.

The pics are from the previous owner, but the unit has sat in my audio rack since the day it arrived a couple of years ago--so no changes to appearance. There is some wear along the upper edge of the faceplate. Operationally, the machine occasionally hiccups when starting a CD. Ejecting and reloading the disc once or twice takes care of the problem.

Remote has been located and is included in sale.

$165 plus shipping in the CONUS from Los Angeles 90049. (The last one of these on Flea Bay went for over $100 more!)

I had one of these bad boys and yes, it was considered a high end bargain rivaling just about anything out there.  A nice feature is variable output.  I used to plug it directly into my amp, eliminating the preamp from the chain.
I'm tempted, but really don't need another CD player.  This would be great for a second system.
