It is hard for me to do that right now as my GG is still breaking in.
In the GG, I am waffling back and forth between the 275As and the 300Bs. It's sort of the best of all worlds to have those tubes to choose from. The 101Ds are not as good as in my Big 7 IMHO. And that may be because the anode supply has changed. I still have not listened to my newly acquired ST 45s and my WE VT-52s. I also sold my EML Globe 45s because I could not justify keeping a newish tube that was 3-4th on my list.
So here you go, so far:
GG:
1. 300Bs (WE)/275A(WE)
3. Brimar 6A3s
4. WE 101Ds (I have not heard enough difference between my tennis balls and my ST shaped ones to comment on a difference)
5. Spring filament RCA 6A3s
6. Regular 6A3s (Sylvania/RCA/GE)
7. RCA/Cunningham 45 Globes.
8. RCA 2A3s
On the Big 7. Note, I did not use my 300Bs enough to rank when I had the Big 7.
1. 101D (WE)
2. 275A (WE)
3. Brimar 6A3s
4. EML Globe 45s
5. Spring filament RCA 6A3s
6. Regular 6A3s (Sylvania/RCA/GE)
7. RCS/Cunningham 45 Globes.
8. VT-52 (WE)
9. RCA 2A3s (I hate these tubes...)
I may have missed some. I left 01As off the list because Fred has reported major issues with them (not surprising for an old battery tube). And I admit to giving him a pair of 01As that may have failed (but I did say give!).
