This is the last prototype AU-215/WIA-1515 integrated amp that George Wright built. 15W per channel integrated amp. Matched pairs JJ EL84 and JJ ECC83. Quietest tube amp I've owned.
The AU-215-I was the signature model sold only to dealers normally. It is a WIA1515 with the better coupling caps and resistors. It normally went for $1870. This one has the better parts but not the upgraded rca plugs or brass faceplate of the AU-215. I like the cleaner look of this amp better than the other two finished models with the black chassis. This is handmade and point to point wired!!!!

This amp is dead quiet, sounds wonderful and is so flexible allowing for MP3, Ipod - to be used as a source on the front input. It has two headphone jacks on the front for standard and mini plugs. Separate volume and gain controls and speaker on/off - all very well thought out and designed. This particular amp was thoroughly checked by Bill Thalman (wonderful engineer formerly with Conrad Johnson .)
