Problem With Stratos....Any Advice?....

1.)  Stratos Stereo Amp ain't working correctly.

I was playing around with RCA and XLR outs...ALWAYS turning off the amp when switching.

Never had an issue, until now when I plug any RCA/XLR cable to the right amp, it give's very little volume....while the left amp give full rocking volume.

I've changed cables.  I've changed power cords.  Nothing seems to reanimate the right amp into giving FULL sound.

I don't think it can be a blown fuse as it still gives sound, albeit really low volume sound.

Any advice?

2.)  Yes.  I tried to contact Klaus via emails last week.  No response.  I called the phone on his website as well....mailbox is FULL.

Did he go out of business or something?

What do you guys recommend?....

I must have 10 years of warranty left on the Stratos, but I was wondering if I could fix it myself without having to spend a small fortune in UPS fees to send it back for repairs.

Klaus was in California for the show in Newport last week and may still be there as he had another engagement in the area.  Try first of next week, but he probably has plenty of messages so be patient.  Also if you haven't swap the right and left inputs to verify it is not something upstream. Do that with sources too.

After checking all possible external causes as mentioned by Jack, you might want to open the case and check the cable connection from the circuit board to the output connector.  I had a similar issue with my amp and I had to re-soldered the loose cable connection between the circuit board and output connector.

internal fuse,  20mmx5mm, 6 or 6.3 amp fast blow, 125 or 250 v's is fine.......broken fuse results in way reduced, "crickling" output
