Hi Don, not sure when production started on these but these are current in the W4S mono line up although they came before the mAmps (which are around half the power of the SX-1000's). You're thinking of their new stereo amps that are MK2.

I know people tend to get confused when I ask.  Apparently, W4S made some minor updates on the SX-1000 and called it there Mark 2 but they don't really advertise it on their site.  The only way to know is by manufacture date and serial number.  I remember a while back when I spoke to a rep at W4S told me there is a couple letters in the serial number that help distinguish between the Mark 1 and Mark 2.  It's been a while now so I don't remember.  LOL
