I'm currently running a Devialet 200 with Wilson Duette speakers. Amazing sound, even in a less than ideal room

Santa dropped off my 200 one day early. I haven't had tons of time with mine, mated to a pair of Bryston Middle T speakers, fed by an Oppo 95 - same issue with you, not an ideal room but so far I'm delighted with it.

I was in a store over the weekend and listened to the Devialet 200, I thought it was one of the most innovative pieces I've seen in a long time.  First off it's not just a Class D amp, it's actually a combination of Class D & A, the result virtually no distortion.  It was driving a set of Focal which the 200 made sound very good.  I love the remote, sort of a volume knob on a platform, both it and the amp has a high quality feel.  To the price the 200 is practically your entire system in a small footprint, and integrated amps with built in DAC by the likes of Levinson, Krell are even more expensive and I don't even think the Musical Fidelity in that price has a DAC.  The phono stage sounded good but I don't like the fact the signal is converted to digital then back again.  A benefit though there is a digital output so the converted analog could be loaded onto your hard drive for future streaming.  The Devialet may not be for everyone but I did find it to be a cool piece.  Oh, it can also be operated using a smart phone with an ap.  I believe it also shuts itself off if not sensing music after 20 minutes.

I bought a Devialet 400 a few weeks ago.

My speakers are SF Strads and Harbeth 40.1's.

I am amazed at how great it sounds.

Smooth, slightly sweet, wide sound stage with maybe not as much depth as my tube gear, awesome vocals, zero sibilance, super quiet - music flows out of blackness. Zero listener fatigue. I can not understand how they do it.

Out of the box, it was a little constricted and harsh. Much better after 50 hours and now with several hundred hours, awesome. It's hard to get over the fact one could be done with this unit. Old habits die hard to resist tweaking, obviously there is no more swapping components. Just enjoy. It really is unlike anything you've heard.

I really love mine. Will it stop me from looking at other gear? No. I am trying hard to resist, but my Devialet is going nowhere. :D
