How close can you sit to the RM30s?

With all those drivers, it seems that a listener should be a good distance away so they can integrate. Would 6 feet be enough??

I actually have enough room to sit further in my current room, but I'm keeping the multichannel option open...which means I will be closer to all speakers.

if you toe in the speakers so that they crossfire in front of you, you can get as close as 4ft.

Ah Yes the old "headspeaker" (as opposed to headphones) set up.

I have used this many times and find it excellent.

Since the woofers create air movement in larger waves that travel both "up" and "down" the cabinet (or any boundary) the integration is no problem.

And you would sit at the same height for the tweeter and neopanel as normal.

If the speakers are well out into the room (6-8 feet) or the front wall is really well treated, the depth and soundstage with this set up is quite remarkable.

Is that 4 feet from each speaker, or 4 feet from a line drawn between the two speakers?  And how far apart can the speakers be before the soundstage snaps or falls apart?
