 Is that as beat up on the back as it appears to be? Was this a DIY kit or factory assembled?

I bought it with the ding on the transformer cover from a local dealer....amp works as it should and I didn't open it up to distinguish if it was a kit build and like I stated it was bought from a local dealer that also has electronic service business and he wouldn't have sold it to me if it was as beat up as you stated.  The amp has nice parts in it and comes with tubes that test and sound good and a ding on the transformer is what it is "a ding".

 What is not factual about my statement, "as beat up on the back as it appears"? Are you one of those sellers that predominates at E bay with remarks like, "in great condition" when some gear appears  to have been tossed around and is actually in fair condition or the skirt around the issue by saying in the text, "excellent condition for it's age". Why didn't you put in your text about the starches and the "ding" as you like to call it. I don't know what you would rate the condition as on the  A-gon scale but, it looks like a 6/10 and your pricing is for a level of excellent 9/10. Ya know people sometimes don't look at pics too closely when there is no mention of the bump's and bruise's as for  cosmetic condition as compared to putting in the description.  NO, I don't want your AES/Cary amp. I just don't much care for seller's who don't describe the actual flaws of operation and or functionality  who don't say in the text whatever is wrong with the piece of gear! Check your e-mail for what I will not post on here.

Wow...your one of those guys.....it's just Audio gear not surgical equipment.  Don't buy it if you don't like the condition and better yet don't email me if it's not up to your standards.
No offense to anybody that reads this but this guy is an ass with the post and emails he sent me.

Not that I need to explain my A-gon feedback but the "harley52" user sent me an email questioning my feedback from audiogon....I have been a user there since 2003 with a feedback rating of 579 with 2 negatives from 10 or so years ago on 1 of them a mis-communication in shipping resulted in him trying to get free ship and I said no and the other I missed a mark approx 1cm on the bottom of the Monitor speakers from being stand mounted which I marked in the grade a 9/10 which should have been 8/10 I took the speakers back and refunded the buyers money.

And I don't use Ebay....

And lastly a ding doesnt effect "operation and or functionality"

You got eyes?  Use them!  Photo clearly shows the condition.  And the description clearly mentions the ding.  I see no attempt here by seller to deceive or mislead .  Good grief!

Thanks, but with "harley52" pointing the dent out in the manner he did I changed my description to note it with the ding.  I talked to the shop I bought it from and they are going to remove the cover and gently push the ding out and then I will re-post the new photos.

 Gentlemen, it's called honesty and integrity. Which, apparently neither one of you know anything about.
My post served a goal and according to the OP I've succeeded. It take's a long time to build an honest and trustworthy reputation and as you probably know it only take's one little word or action to ruin what you've worked to be known as. But, then maybe you just don't care what people think.
 I sent you an e-mail to keep your negatives and neutrals private for my part, but looks to me you want to be the person who seeks sympathy for your poor judgment in treating buyer's/seller's, four of them, because  I mentioned the ding and other marks/scratches.  I thought it best to let other's go and search your fb for the two negatives and two neutrals, with one neutral in 2011. Sounds to me like your still not being totally honest when you only acknowledge one of the negatives.
 Sunnydaze, there was no mention of the ding in his op! You have some common sense don't you? Use it. Why would anyone including myself mention the ding if it was in the op.
