Ground Wire for Technics SL-B350
« on: 26 Feb 2015, 01:41 am »
So, I'm visiting a friend and he pulls out his old belt drive Technics. He tried to fire it up but got lots of hum because...he can't find the ground wire. Looking at the back of the unit, there's a little hole where the ground wire plugs in.

Is this a proprietary thing or does a particular mini jack fit in there? Anyone know?

Thanks for your help.

There is nothing about this table at the vinyl engine, but I found a table for sale on eBay with some pictures. You are going to have to go in there and install a new ground wire....

Thanks, as always, Wayner.
You're right about the database...nada, zilch, nothing.

Looks like a P-mount cartridge, straight arm table.

I found a cord on e-Bay listing this turntable and ordered a ground wire, seller states that it is a modified round tip to fit in the hole in the back.

Gosh, it's as silly as the plastic speaker connectors on my daughter's old Pioneer receiver!
