Hi everybody,

I am currently in the process of integrating my Bedroom SP1.7 into my Crestron system.

Since Bryston is a Crestron partner, one can download a Crestron module from Crestron's website if one has the necessary access privileges.

The module covers the commands listed in the documentation that is available on Bryston's website. I still had to rewrite some parts of the module, as several bugs popped up when I integrated it into my program.

I did, however, run into a problem that does not appear to be a programming issue: When I use the power up or power down command ("PU" and "PD", followed by a carriage return as delimiter), I get a "!" as feedback. The "!" is the feedback that is sent "when an illegal/unknown command is received at the RS232 port". All other commands work, so it does not appear to be a general syntax or connectivity issue.

Anybody ran into the same problem? Is there a remote code or another trick to enable/disable these commands?

AFAIK, the installed firmware version v44F is the most recent for the SP1.7. Or has there been a change on this command for firmware v44F? The documentation is supposed to be valid for v43C and later versions and the SP2 has the same power up/down command.

Any hints are appreciated!

Thanks!

Markus
