Wyred 4 Sound SX1000 Monoblocks OFF
« on: 11 Feb 2015, 01:42 am »
Decided to keep these stellar amps.

This listing is for a pair of Wyred 4 Sound mono blocks. They are rated at 570 watts @ 8ohms and 1,140 watts @ 4ohms.
Great condition, I'm the second owner, no scratches - dings - marks of any kind.

Asking $1,700 + shipping and add 3.5% for paypal.

Hello,

Did you not like the "D" sound from these? I'm on the fence regarding going this way for my VR-33s (currently using Jolida 302BRC).

I have a pair of DIY ICEpower 1000ASP monoblocks driving my VR-4 Gen III HSEs and it's a match made in heaven.  Having heard the VR-33s at RMAF several years ago I think these 1000ASP based W4S SX1000s would be a great match.

I'll just say this. I'm keeping them. I'm pulling the ad off of Audiogon as well. I'm listening to them now thinking anything else would be a lateral move. They sound fantastic and I'm coming from a big tube amp too (Rogue Audio Stereo 90 Super Magnum). Not hearing anything "Class D" about these. All I'm hearing is smooth, slightly warm, SNAPPY authoritative bass, and limitless power. They murdered my B&K M200 mono's last night which are 200 watts @ 8 ohms with the first 60 watts being pure Class A.

I have the  SX500 mono's and I could'nt agree more. Having been through a few tube amps, I still get the tube warmth but more power and control.
